Plugins

Document.Editor includes a system that you can make your own plugins with, but it is turned off by default. You can turn it on in the options dialog. At the moment it only supports inserting text into a document but will later support other things like images and tables. Take a look at the HelloWorld plugin to see the basics.

Hello World:

Public Class HelloWorld

    Public Function IsStartupPlugin() As Boolean
        Return False
    End Function

    Public Function IsEventPlugin() As Boolean
        Return True
    End Function

    Public Function StartPlugin() As Object
        Dim i As String = "hello world!", win As New Form
        win.Text = i
        win.ShowDialog()
        Return i
    End Function

End Class
IsStartupPlugin() returns true if plugin starts with Document.Editor.
IsEventPlugin() returns true if plugin button is to be shown in the Tools menu.
StartPlugin() where the code for the plugin go's.

More help for plugins coming soon.
